Facilities |

There are mainly 3 divisions under Pathology Department namely Histopathology, Haematology & Clinical Pathology and Cytology.
|
|
In Haematology & Clinical Pathology Lab following investigations are carried out:-
|

CBC - (Hb, TC, DC, Platelet, Blood indices, RDW) - Computerised report is given using Fully Automated Cell counters . |
|
2 |
Peripheral Smear & Bone Marrow Examination including Cytochemical stains. |
|
3 |
Reticulocyte Count. |
|
4 |
Absolute Eosinophil Count. |
|
5 |
Osmotic Fragility Test. |
|
6 |
Sickling Test |
|
7 |
Bleeding Time |
|
8 |
Clotting Time |
|
9 |
Urine – RUE, Acetone, Bile salt,
Urobilinogen, Bence Jone Protein. |
|

Motion – Routine examination including Ova & Parasites. |
|

Clinical Pathology Lab is working 24 hrs.
|
|
In Cytology Section - FNAC is carried out from 11 AM to 1PM.
Fluid Cytology, Sputum Cytology & Papsmear & Barr body Examination are also done.

All the staff are actively involved in undergraduate & postgraduate teaching including integrated teaching for undergraduate students.

Everyday there is academic sessions for postgraduates from 9AM – 9.45AM. Slide Seminars, Topic Discussions,
CPCs, & Journal Club are also conducted.
